Our Craft Gang have been meeting once a fortnight on a Tuesday for over 20 years.
Once a month we have a raffle where each member
takes it in turn to make something as a prize.
I made two sets of tickets out of bits of paper when we first started
having the raffle and we are still using the same ones.
That has got to be a record for recycling.
This months prize was made by Meg and it is this very useful postage stamp holder.
Its made from screwed up papers that are then ironed onto vilene then machine stitched.
Best bit is I won it. Yippee.
I am attempting to knit a little blanket for our dog Kikki's basket.
I think she will have a long wait.
Well lucky you! That is a very pretty postage stamp holder. such a clever idea. I bet Meg could sell them if she made more. So often stamps can get crumpled or 'lost' in a purse or handbag. I, however, am still making full use of a certain birdy one ;) You should have used chunkier needles and yarn Lynn. It grows much faster, haha ;) xx
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to win something, and that stamp holder is very handy.
ReplyDeleteKikki is lucky to have such a kind mum! xxx
That is a great prize to win, beautiful AND useful! I have to agree with Mo, you need bigger needles... it will grow much quicker. Hugs, Anne x
