This week I had this lovely piece of vintage fabric sent me and a piece of lace by Heather who is doing the same embroidery course as me. I sent her some in return to include in her work.
This is the block I am working on now. The aim is to stitch all the blocks together and make a wrapping cloth. Bit like a small quilt.
As we speak I am finishing off stitching these four squares with French Knots.
This weeks tutorial was learning how to make these Funky Fabric Puffs which will later be added to the finished cloth.
I have laid them on the block to show how they will look.
Have a look what everyone else has been upto this week and thank you for following along while I learn to stitch and all your lovely comments.
Lynn, love your white embroidery with the touch of color from the beautiful patterned and colored fabric.

The embroidery is gorgeous. I love the contrast of your fabric choice with the lace. Creative Blessings! Kelly #123
ReplyDeleteReally pretty. I#m thinking that as we've got to know you, your work is becoming more and more painstaking!
ReplyDeleteThe thing about it Julia is I've learned to slow down, you can't rush this sewing malarky and I am normally one for quick results. It's quite soothing while you sit watching a bit of telly.
DeleteLove your photos. The lace is stunning.
