Kikki says " I am really bored waiting for you to finish that apron"
Yes but look what i've achieved Kikki, free machine embroidery at last
and some bullion knots. I've quite impressed myself.
I am getting there. Next week should see it finished.
If you are as bored as Kikki nip over and have a look at some more desks.
or have a look at what my tutor has been making.
What gorgeous work Karen, just love that 'flower'. Happy WOW day. Jill x
ReplyDeleteWow, and double wow, apron looking good Lynn. Love the black and white on the natural background, very effective and bullion knots as well (impressed me and I don't know what they are).

ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, I have no idea what a bullion knot is (maybe like a French knot?) but love the look of them. Your apron is coming along a treat, can't wait to see the finished article - maybe when we meet next week.......... Happy WOYWW, Anne x #23

Certainly never bored with your blog but glad Kikki was as it is a wonderful photograph.
ReplyDeleteVery impressing sewing, I am well impressed. I bought a book on machine embroidery the other day (Amazon or Ebay, can't remember now) and it is full of projects. Will take me years to go through it but hopefully will learn a lot.
Off to Tod on Friday, thanks for the link to your blog pages.
Hugs, Neet 16 xx
Hope you have a good day. Have a coffee at the cafe facing the hardware stall on the inside market, he makes his own cakes. Good food too. Xx
DeleteThe apron is looking fabulous. It is worth all the effort and your work is so neat!
ReplyDeleteNice job!
xx
Morning Lynn, I am never bored with Kiki or your beautiful apron. I keep saying it but i am loving following your journey with it. I used to do a lot of sewing but not much anymore, I still have my machine though.I've never done bullion knots but recognise the more blanket type stitch. Love the flower with the soft edges. I am not taking part in WOYWW today but have a great day. Hugs Mo x

Apron is coming along beautifully. I love Karen's work too - very talented. x Jo
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to have that spacious work table to lay out your beautiful apron work? Your free machine embroidery is amazing!! Me want to do that too!!! Now, about KIKKI and Joseph--believe it or not, Joseph loves dogs, and in fact, thinks he is a dog. He wags his tail, trots sometimes, and can bark. No lie. When my momma brings over her chihuahua, Joseph tries to pet him, and can't quit staring at him! He likes to visit my neighbors little dogs in the backyard too! Thanks so much for keeping us up on your progress! Hugs and happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #20
