Our little friendly group have been meeting once a fortnight on a Tuesday night for some 15 years. We have some great days out, enjoy holding Saturday workshops and attending workshops, visiting galleries and craft events and some nice meals out too. We have a monthly raffle when a member will make something with the money going into a pot to pay for guest speakers or a coach if we want to go somewhere. Magazines, books, fabrics, haberdashery are often brought in as give aways or to swap. Each member brings a different talent to the group, even if its only the capability to make us laugh.
Our lovely group leader Barbara Jepson www.barbarajepson.com, who is also a member of the TEN PLUS TEXTILE GROUP www.tenplustextiles.com, keeps us all inspired and all our members share their individual skills with the others.
Long may we meet.
Great photos Lynn, I think you are the catalist for the group now. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and your ability to make us all have a good time at the meetings.
ReplyDeleteFantastic collection of work! I wish I could join you all as you are such a lovely group!
ReplyDeleteAwh thank you Tracy from all your fans x
DeleteSome lovely things here, you are lucky to have such a talented group to spend time with.
ReplyDeleteI miss the group I used to go to at Lane Ends
Thanks Cate. They are a great gang :D
DeleteWonderful post to browse all those lovely makes from your talented group. It must be so good to get together there.
ReplyDeleteSaw your comment on Carol's blog.....You MUST get a Pogo mini printer but just a warning to check that your camera is compatible. I know a couple of people who ended up buying new cameras to be able to use the pogo! you can get them on the net quite cheaply.... around £25 including some photo cards. We didn't shop around and paid £45! You can also do lots of arty things with them too so look at Youtube.
Love jo x
Thanks Jo, looks like something i should investigate.
