DAYS OUT ..... Pendle Heritage Centre

After church last Sunday I went on a bit of a reckie with my friend Barbara to Pendle Heritage Centre at Barrowford, near Burnley.
The purpose being to have a look at the Farmers Market and Craft Fair. I had a nice chat with  some of the stallholders and Angela the event organiser. After which I decided to have a stall with my Doodly Birds  www.doodlybird.co.uk  at the July event.

This cute sock monkey was made by young designer/maker Donna of  Heartfelt Creations and was only £3.50.  She also makes cards, invitations, knitted items, handbags and other textile gifts. She has'nt got a website yet but if you want to see her work you can contact her on
 07964 296859 or email andrewsherlock7491@hotmail.com
I am going to have a go at making these covered buttons with this kit  (£3) I bought from Kath Heywood and Ann Boocock.
You can see Kath's art and textile work at this link www.folksy.com/shops/kathheywood  and

I got some beautiful bread and scones,  local meat and homemade cake at the Farmers Market and chatted with the friendly stall holders as well.   If you are in that area go for a visit, it has its own free car park as well.
The next event is Sunday 10th June.  It is always the 2nd Sunday in the month.
10am - 2pm
