Sunnybank craft club created button and bead bracelets today as demonstrated by Susan.
Here are the very colourful results. Are'nt they pretty.
And this is some of the gang at Saturday's Hoe Down where we raised £330.
John Alexander of Alexander Jewellers in the Walk, Rochdale.www.janddalexander.com came and sang for us free of charge.
John does a massive amount of work for Springhill Hospice in Rochdalewww.springhill.org.uk. He is a gem.(oops, pardon the pun, Jeweller's get it).
There was a serious bit of line dancing went on

and a great sing-along with the locals
Those bracelets are very sweet indeed. Did they all get sold Lynn?
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a Hoe Down, it looks like lots of fun was had by all and a good amount raised too!
Mo xx
The crafters make them for themselves to take home.
ReplyDeleteSome ladies colour coordinated their bracelet to their outfit. Still image conscious in their 90's. Lovely !
They pay £2 per session and always have something they've made to take away with them.
Oh that's great Lynn. I'm always impressed at the different craft ideas people come up with, and think 'Oh, yeah. Why didn't I think of that' haha.
DeleteI've had a look at the website, it is an amazing place and with 5 shops too! Long may they thrive so the good people can continue in the vital work they do.
xx
Looks like you all had great fun! Zo xx
ReplyDeleteA hoedown, what a great idea! You're doing incredibly well for Sunnybank at £2 a session, it's priceless really.
ReplyDeleteCame by to add that knowing the lingo at my blog won't sadly, turn me into any comic..but - a LO is a Layout - a page for a scrapbook. And a Crop is a get together of people who scrapbook. Origins? I dunno!
Thanks Julia, I'll get back onto it now. :-)
DeleteWhat a lot of fun Lynn and for a good cause! The bracelets are cool :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great time! I used to know some line dances but I have forgotten them. Although I'd probably get up to speed in no time.......
The bracelets are very colorful - how fun!
Hugs,
Kay
