WOOL, SHEEP & CUMBRIAN PEOPLE

Great start to our holiday when we visited
and got chatting to the lovely people there.
Linda of HANNALIN CRAFTS showed us the stack of handknitted cushions that have been made by local knitters using wool from sheep from local farms. They have been made for the Olympic Athletes who will be coming from all over the world. It is our way of welcoming them and giving them something to take home that is made in this country.
Linda has a great stock of wools, threads, fabrics, handmade bags, knitwear, throws and all the haberdashery needed to set you going with a bit of knitting or stitching.
Upstairs in the Barn there are antiques, a fantastic range of local crafted gifts, cards, photography and jewellery
A visit is never complete until we have been into HAT TRICK TEAROOM
They do the best soup, sandwiches, coffee and cakes around.

NEXT INSTALMENT.... OUR DAY AT THE RHEGED CENTRE, PENRITH.
Oh, and the winner of the 5000 viewings giveaway is Elizabeth from Wichita, USA
