NEIGHBOURS THAT ARE FRIENDS......

What a friendly bunch on our lane.

On Saturday I made wedding invitations with Laura, who lives across from me, for her September wedding.

On Monday I made lunch for the 2 kiddywinks next door and their mum Lisa. Afterwards we went for a walk and fed the ducks in Healey Dell.HEALEY DELL NATURE RESERVE.
Then we had cake and a drink and  the girls played with Big Ted bear and all my charity shop find toys and books.

Later Julie down the lane called with a gift of a box of lovely notecards. I had guessed the weight of her new grand daughter Evie. They were in this fabulous bag.
Then came a knock at the door and there on the doorstep was another gift. Laughing I ran to the gate to catch the culprit and caught Amy and her dog Billy running up the lane. "get back here" I shouted laughing even more. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the ribbon tied tin to find inside these wonderful Doodly Bird biscuits and a card.
They are so lovely I'd don't want to eat them. Our minds went into overdrive and thought what a great idea to include them in the Doodly Bird range.
Tomorrow I'm popping down to see the new baby at Julie's and on the way back up will call at Jeanette & Marks with a piece of apricot teabread I've made from one of Jeanette's recipe books.
Must remember to take a card over to Jill and Jonathon for their wedding on Saturday.
What lovely neighboours who are friends.

  5. What a delightful street you live in! Everyone is so 'closed off' around here and I'm not extrovert enough to go a-knocking at random to get things moving. I do always make the effort at Christmas tho' and EVeryone gets a card.
Those biscuits are amazing, what a talented baker she is. They would 'go down' a treat especially in a doodly decorated box ;)
