Thanks Linda for your lovely comments last week on my studio. It is a nice space to be in. I spend most of my time in it. The canvas and frame work is all my own. Lynn xx
I LOVE your studio - what a beautiful and inspiring place to work in - I also love the art on your wall - is it all yours or are some of them purchased pieces? I think the glass topped table is such a good idea - so easy to keep clean - I have an old oak table and every little splash soaks into the wood grain. I'm also trying to figure out what the two large pieces of wood are with 'dashes' - looks wonderful - is it a large piece of art?
Hi Diane, al the work on the wall were you see my desk is my own work, I'm so glad you like it. It's my Creation Collection and it is made from found objects from the moors where I live. I've sold a couple of pieces and keep thinking I should exhibit the rest. I enjoy looking at it myself so that seems to stop me. The wood you refer to is an old corn thresher, about a 100 years old. I picked it up in a local antiques barn. Its originally from Turkey and would have been pulled by oxen. The textures on it are so tactile I couldn't resist it. Eventually we are going to wall mount it, but it's very heavy.
It's embedded with pieces of Flint and is a corn thresher which is about 100 years old. It is very tactile and everyone admires it. Thank you for your very nice comments about my work. Hope you enjoy the summer and I look forward to hearing from you again. Lynn
