JOINING UP WITH GEMMA THORPE

Yesterday I went over to Timperley, Cheshire to visit a good friend of mine
Gemma Thorpe, who I was at college with.
Gemma has a studio in Islington Mill, Salford where she creates wonderful coastal themed pieces on her weaving loom.  The driftwood is collected from beaches in Wales when on holiday with the family.
As well as making wonderful pieces of art in driftwood, weave and collage she also designs and produces lovely ceramics pieces like the tea caddy above (which can store any number of things).  Her talents do not end there though Gemma has also diversified into jewellery making .

You will be able to see both of our work at the Last Drop Village Craft Event in Bolton
on Sunday 1st April. 11.00am - 4pm
