Some of the beauty I have seen at eye level this weekend.

This little gatehouse in Grange Over Sands in Cumbria is enchanting.

As is the park

And the buildings

In Bowness we watched the boats come and go.

Our caravan is in the most idyllic setting.

And now my eyes are back on my desk

Focus on life - Beauty All Around Us

Witherslack Church, Lake District, South Cumbria, UK.

 

We attend an Art Week in the Church Hall here every year.

In the church they serve teas and cakes.

To sit in the grounds is so peaceful with beautiful views across Cumbria.

FOCUS ON LIFE - Week 9

I really did not know what to choose for the FOCUS ON LIFE photo challenge.

The theme for March is "CLOSE UP"

We are being asked to open our eyes to the world around us.

In my garden is an old typewriter which I love.

 Another love of mine is my 10 year old VW Beetle named Frida after the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.  My car started its life in Mexican was shipped to Germany for its electrics then onto Hull in the UK transported to Altrincham in Cheshire before spending her days here in Whitworth, Lancashire.

Focus on Life..... "You are....."

"Focus On Life" is a weekly photography challenge led by Studio Sublime. Each week there is a different theme to use for your photography.

This week's is a toughie ....."YOU ARE"

The challenge is to focus on what you see as positive about yourself.

This year I am doing an online art course.

and learning to hand and machine embroider

"YOU ARE ".......... Extremely proud of the fact that over the last two years I have taught myself how to us an iPad, how to blog and now I've got an iPhone there is no stopping me, like Sally at Studio Sublime with hers.
