Excitement up North and a world tour.

Good grief there’s not been this much excitement in months.
We wondered what was occurring as we entered Bacup for our
weekly market shop.  There were folk stood around everywhere,
lots of white vans and police.

Turns out they were recording series 3 of Brassic. We’ve never
seen it as it’s on Sky, which we don’t have.

The beautiful northern girl actress Michelle Keegan was there.
She’s quite tiny.  We stood and watched for a while and I got told
off for taking this picture.  They seem to do a few takes, either that or
they just film in short bursts.

The lad in the pink, don’t know his name, apparently he’s the main
male character, came over to us and said it was refreshing to see people
dressed nicely and that we looked great.  We thanked him kindly, not
having a clue who he was.

Then blow me if nearby Hebden Bridge wasn’t featured on
Interior Design Challenge the same night.  They were revamping three
eateries, all of which we’ve been in.

Well I feel like I’ve been on a world tour in a day.
My morning berries are from Spain, Morocco and Guatemala
There’s some airmiles there.

Can’t let Friday pass by without a couple of Mum’s
Facebook cartoons.

and we may as well have an outfit pic to finish.
Rocking the urchin/Diane Keaton look.

Have a lovely weekend.
Keeping smiling and maybe join Annie over at her

  1. I did wonder why I'd never heard of the programme (or the actress) before, we only have Freeview in this house!
All very exciting though! It looks a lovely place.
Gorgeous outfits on both of you - as always. xxx

    1. Michelle Keegan played Our Girl on bbc and the part of Bobby Moore’s wife in Tina & Bobby. Initially she was in Coronation street for a few years.
Couldn’t believe how many people and vehicles it takes to make a tv production. Xxx

  2. That is a lot of excitement, thank goodness you were all dressed up and looking smart! I know of Michelle Keegan just because the older girls have watched all the series of Our Girl. In the summer we were down in Cornwall and there was a load of filming going on at an antique centre in the town we were visiting. Like you say its amazing how many people, vans and security there were.

  3. How exciting! Lovely looking girl. No idea who the pink guy is.

  4. Woohoo! What excitement! I don't have TV so of course I don-t know who the actors are either, but I know it is interesting to watch. We have been in several tv recordings as our daughter in law did a 'cook off' show. I met a few celebrities then. (Anton Beck from Strictly and Ainsley Harris, the cook)
Hebden Bridge looks beautiful. I have never been there, but if your photo was in a tourist brochure, I'm sure many people would be attracted to come and visit.
Your Diane Keaton outfit is great!
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Hugs,

  6. We only have freeview here so I don't know the programme in your post, but quite an exciting event all the same. It was nice to have your clothes complimented, even if you don't know the character.
My breakfast looked very like yours, but my berries came from a fairly local fruit farm and from Morocco. They could all have been grown in Spain, and most if not all of your can grow in England. We don't need all the air miles do we? love the 'spotless' dalmation. Kate x

  7. Interesting week you've had. I remember Michelle Keegan when she was in Corrie but I've never seen this as we don't have Sky either. Very kind of the guy to complement you on your outfits. I remember doing the same with a lady I met at the craft show at Doncaster and you could see how pleased she was (I really miss those days out). Loved the funnies too. Take care and have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

  8. Well it’s amazing how locations pop up together at time, only Freeview here too, think crafters like to save pennies for craft! 😂, great share Lynn some lovely smiles in the funnies (spot remover! 😂) and love the picture at end .. couldn’t help wondering though, don’t your ankles freeze? mine would! I’ve perpetually cold extremities, even in summer unless hot!

Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

  11. i have seen bits of it, but it’s not our thing, we get some sky programs over here. We met guy Martin when he was filming for his japan series he was like a kid on acid! But really nice. And asked us tons of questions.
Love the Annie hall look, and yes you two look very dapper indeed!

  12. How exciting. I'm sure others are aware of this, but we don't get this across the pond. You certainly were dressed for the showing, though.

A movie theater shot ONE scene from their movie in my home when I lived in a different town. It took all day to shoot it. First they rehearsed it at least three times. then they broke for lunch. When they returned, they did FIVE takes. Two were because the actor flubbed his lines, and three were so they could have a choice of which they preferred when they got to the cutting floor. It was all very fascinating and yes, there were lots of people involved, including a make-up trailer and a trailer for the "star." Then there were the production trailer and the equipment trailer. BIG, LONG trailers!!!

  13. Can't watch 'Brassic' either but Michelle Keegan is married to one of 'The Only Way is Essex' crowd, Mark Wright, who just had a good workout prog on BBC 2 as part of their Bitesize progs for homeschoolers. I loved watching him whilst having my breakfast!I also loved the Interiors Design Masters from Hebden Bridge. I think Lynsey will win. I loved her design this week. Siobahn will be a strong contender too. How lovely of that actor to compliment you both on your attire and so he should have, you both looked great. Have a good weekend. x

  15. Obviously, I'd never heard of the programme, but it must be exciting to watch all the comings and goings. No wonder that lead guy came over and complimented you both on your outfits. You make such a handsome pair!
Loving the urchin look as well! xxx
