More than a 100 days

‘More than a 100 days’
Sounds like a good title for a book doesn’t it.

It’s not though,  it’s where we are in lockdown.
At the start we did some mad videos.  Looking at it all now I think I better get the dancing shoes out again as this pandemic is not going away anytime soon.

.
Heehee we look more like this now than the photo taken last year on a day out with lovely friends in The Lake District.

We are very lucky living where we do. On a walk to the postbox I come across so many lovely gardens along the way.

Nearly home now, she says huffing and puffing up the hill.
Our house isn’t called Four Winds for nothing it’s at the top of a big hill and open to the elements.

There’s just time for a cuppa before preparing a tea of salmon fillets, jersey potatoes, carrots & broccoli.

Tomorrow’s job is a trip to the post office with some parcels for friends we won’t get to see for sometime yet.

Remember stay safe and stay local.
See you tomorrow when I’ll be joining the crafters at
What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

  1. Hi Lynn, it's Lorna, we met through a course run by Beverley Elliott a few years ago and I read your blog now and again. I think you're right, this isn't going to go away in a hurry and I am a bit up and down at the minute too. Hang on in there, it will all go away eventually. I am trying to do a stitch project but am spectacularly uninspired, lol.

    1. Hi Lorna
It’s lovely to hear from you. Hope you are okay. I think the majority of us are feeling up and down. Keep looking for the simple things that give you pleasure. Hope we get to meet up again soon. Thanks for popping by.

    1. Hi Connie hope you’re doing okay. It’s the simplest of things that give the most pleasure isn’t it ? A nice cuppa, a good book, a chat with a neighbour or a friend. Even a sneaky bit of chocolate haha. Take care xx

  3. my son studied forestry at the university of Cumbria in Ambleside, he loved it, it took him a while to adjust to city living upon his return, he was wanting to go back and stay there. I have told him to go where his heart wants him to go. Like we have.
I worry about my parents all the time. If it wasn’t for vix I would be a mess. I Love the way you live your life, sunny and happy. My boss calls me his little ray of sunshine. As I always have a smile on my face and I always make the customers smile. Take care and enjoy your little heaven.

    1. We all have our bad days Allie but in general just taking each day at a time is the best way.
Your boss sounds lovely and there’s nothing like a beautiful smile. It usually means you’ll get one back.
Thanks for popping by. I love to hear from you xxx

  4. Another lovely cheery post, Lynn! Love that photo of you both, that intruiging pile of parcels and the gorgeous walk up the road to your house.
I wish Bojo and his cronies would bring back the daily updates, you can't blame people for thinking the pandemic is all over when he's tazzing up and down the country doing press-ups and shaking hands with the public.
    I'm staying put! xxx

    1. One of those parcels is for you Vix so watch out for Postman Sid.
That was such a great day out. We were with Julia Sparkle and Maria (Rosie tinted spectacles) off Instagram. We went to visit Maria’s sister and had a pub lunch. Happy days xxx

  5. You'll certainly keep in good shape, walking back up that hill to Four Winds! Love the little details of the gardens you're passing on your way, and that dress you're wearing while having a cuppa is a delight! Keep the mad videos coming, we love them! xxx

    1. I need to up the walking Ann as I’ve piled weight on this last month. The dress is very forgiving and was a charity shop find ages ago. I need to socially isolate from cakes and big fat sandwiches haha. Xxx
