Dyeing to show you - woyww

This is what the weekend is for - playing out.

A super Sunday spent learning how to dye threads

Then using them to create an embroidery

What I’ve not said is that there was also a lot of chatting, laughing, drinking of tea and eating cake going on as well

Of course after an exhaustingly busy day there had to be a trip to the pub for tea.

Another fabulous workshop over in Brighouse, Yorkshire

  1. Love the dyed threads and how lovely to have done them yourself...and even better to use them as well as you do.
Thank you for visiting earlier and for my birthday wishes.

  2. Well, that is something different for certain. Dying your threads first of all for your own embroidery and what a lovely idea. I can imagine you had fun ding the dyeing of the threads and then you settled to the embroidery afterwards. Don't forget to show it to us when it is finished will you.

  3. How fantastic! What a great day, I love the way the threads are so variegated. I also LOVE the design that you end up embroidering..is it printed or did you draw it? If you drew it, I may actually turn completely green.

    1. I enjoyed both the dyeing process and the embroidery. I don’t really have a favourite. Probably the best thing would be being in the company of like minded people
