Tsundoku - what the heck’s that

I came across the word
TSUNDOKU
this week

and burst out laughing

That’s me all over

There are worse things in life.
Like I said to the wandering welder
Aka my husband Philip

“When you go to the pub and spend your money on a few pints, where does it end up ?”
Down the toilet, I informed him.

Now then look where my money goes.

“I lost that one argument then” he said

  1. I had intended to stop by sooner, but I've been taking care of my neighbor's cat and today the IV drip I have to give her four times a day took much longer than an hour the times I was there today.

I have piles and piles and piles of books around my home, too. I also have piles of read books around my house. You can never go wrong by buying a book. If you don't like it and haven't paid much for it, you can always use it in your art.

Have a great rest of Friday and a wonderful weekend, Lynn.

  2. Hi Lynn, I suspect you're in bed by now if you've any sense unlike myself. I got going with a project and well here I am still. The book piles look very familiar Lol! Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

  3. I love new words and that one is wonderful! I've not come across it before, but I am an expert in the field of book collecting. Right now I don't find a lot of time to read, but I keep telling myself that when my arthritis has got too bad for me to follow all my other hobbies - papercraft, crochet, gardening etc - than I will start reading my 'library'! I hope Aunty Jill is improving. Kate x

  4. Ha! I know that little habit very well! What a lot of tempting looking books you've got lying around and looking pretty as a picture leafing through one of them.
My trouble is that i like books and beer! xxx

  5. Tsundoku - that word so applies to my book buying habits. I feel so much better now I know that there's a term for it too - it's a recognised condition! Love your piles. I can recommend The Sewing Machine - that is one I've read. xx

  6. Haha, I think I have a serious case of Tsundoku! So glad I'm not the only one. There's something really comforting about piles of books and shelves stacked with them. xxx
