What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday

Turns out I’m not good at following instructions. Never have been and never will be.  I’ve known it for years, so why on Earth I bought a kit I’ve no idea.

It stressed me out so much I had to go and have a lie down

I ended up doing my own thing with it in the end anyway and one thing for sure I won’t be buying another.

Now this is more like it.  In a few weeks I’ll be picking this little beauty up and I’ve got great plans for it so watch this space dear reader

  1. Well Lynn, as always, your vision never fails to make me gasp. It’s not that I don’t see beauty in it *ahem*, but I erm, don’t quite get your excitement! I’m intrigued and excited by your excitement, for sure! Even though the kit drove you nuts, it’s abeautiful finished piece!

  5. Well you may not have followed the instructions but what you have made is beautiful - and good for you not following the crowd. If anyone can amaze me with what they can create with an old bird cage then you will - I can't wait to see what you do with it and once again you'll do it in your own incredible style!

  6. I always love your humor, and I can't follow instructions well, either. It's a beautiful piece in the end, at least. I look forward to seeing what you are keeping from us and how you will alter it. Happy WOYWW from #3.

  7. I had to smile when you said you don't like instructions. I often read them and then do my own thing. The completed project looks good anyway so that's all that matters. Have a great woyww, Angela x13x

  12. I absolutely agree with you about following instructions. I usually take an idea and run with it, doing my own thing. Unless it is someone on You tube that I can follow, then maybe.

  14. I'm pretty rubbish with sewing instructions and patterns too so you are not on your own Lynn but you've worked magic and no one would have known your struggles if you had not shown as your patchwork is faultless.
Look forward to seeing what creativity awaits that sweet bird cage.
Wishing you a pattern free week & Thank you for sharing the delights of WOYWW.
