What's on my Workdesk

I found this Tapestry in a charity shop

I've added some simple stitching and backed it with blue gingham

At one point I thought it would look nice as a pinny

But my intention all along was to make a tote bag.  Listen to me I sound like I know what I'm doing haha.  Believe me I don't.  As usual it's a Heath Robinson job,  making it up as I go along.

It needs the bottom finishing off and some handles and  there you go another one I made earlier  today.

Linking to some desk hopping over at Julia's place

The Trouser Affair

On the 8th August I blogged that I seem to be wearing an awful lot of trousers this summer

Well it looks like the affair is set to continue

As I'm still wearing them

In fact I hadn't realised that I had that many pairs

There have been one or two frock sightings, including this geometric patterned one that I've had for quite some time and makes quite a lot of appearances topped with different cardies and jackets

There was enough dry weather on Saturday for me to wear these beauties, recently bought from

The box they came in is a fabulous design as well

Here's another old favourite that's been dragged out recently as well.  Hey perhaps I should turn the shoe box into a matching handbag

Bank holiday stroll

I'm having another go with this new app that means I can blog directly from my iPhone.

It's been three years since we lost our rescued Papillon Kikki  and it's been that long since we walked over the moors that we used to walk upto three times a day, seven days a week.

So we thought we'd have a walk down to the pub

There's some lovely houses to walk by

We really do live in a beautiful area

"If you don't know where you're going any road will take you there"
Wonder who said that.

Two minutes from our doorstep

We really need to get out more often.
I'm liking this new blogging app so far.
I'll post more details about it next time

Ten Bob Ted and a new blogging app

Bear with me - this is a new blogging app

Say hello to Ten Bob Ted, duly named after being rescued from the charity shop for 50p.  It always makes me laugh when a charity shop has a half price sale.  This super basket which has an inner lining with a zip and looks quite new was £1.50
The blouse and sun hat are also charity shop finds
When having a picnic always make sure your flask matches your outfit haha.
It seems no matter what I do Ten Bob Ted is not willing to crack a smile.
Not even when I offered to share my lovely picnic with him and reading him a story.
If he doesn't buck his ideas up he may find himself back in the charity shop haha
