Signing in very late as I couldn't drag myself away from the beautiful carpet
of bluebells outside our caravan in the lake district.
I haven't been sat on my laurels like the husband though, I made two necklaces from charity shop finds and scrap fabric
Made some bows
A cushion
A book bag and tag
and this is the start of a bag for storing my favourite stationery
I need a rest now to get over my long weekend
doing nothing.
Desk hopping with Mrs D to see what everyone else has been upto at
That jumper looks fantastic with those me-made beads! Your slow stitching is a triumph, too - no wonder you're all sewed out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous view to look out on. I don't blame Mr Dapper for resting on his laurels! xxx
I wear it a lot Vix. The beads were made from one of a pair of earrings and a chain from a charity shop in Ulverston and mashed together within an hour of being back at the curryvan haha xxx

I love the slowly does it .... Every time! X
ReplyDeleteI love the carpet of bluebells outside your caravan. I'm always sad when they're over. I see you have been busy, and I love the necklaces. I always need to rest after a weekend, too. xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you put the orange thread in the centre. I too was in a charity shop looking at necklaces this week but did not succumb - not buying anything rule applies here too. You have made a really good job from your bits though and is that a pipe with goggly eyes? Hears hoping for a few more sunny days this week x Jackie 22
ReplyDeleteAren't those bluebells gorgeous - how lucky to have them right outside your caravan - I bet the scent is divine. I love the cushion you made and with us so often being on the same wavelength I have to say I have identical linen tea towels I found last year for my decay and repair project - I picked them up cheap because they were full of worn and frayed holes - just what I wanted! I love the taupe and cream colouring, and the red embroidery looks stunning against it. I also LOVE the little book bag - you are ingenious!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Lynn. Was that called a holiday?? Definitely need a sit down and rest now - and that's just me after reading all you have done!
ReplyDeleteGreat things made...
Take care. God bless.

I love the textures and stitching of your projects...you have a real eye for detail, that's something that eludes me. Having seen Diana's teeny tiny stitches, I wouldn't know where to start! Love the jewellery too, clever you 💖😃💖

I think I love a bluebell wood best in all the world, Lynn - what a lovely picture! Your projects are splendid this week - love the stitching! Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm glad you like the kitty castle. Thanks for your good wishes for my hospital appointments - surgeon tomorrow, oncologist 2nd June. I am sure they will be pleased with me!!
