Autumn joys and scares

I woke to this lovely autumn morning.

Moved into the afternoon with a walk in Healey Dell Nature Reserve.

Then the neighbours gave us an evening fright with their fantastic pumpkin lanterns.

This is the third time I've run this workshop and it never ceases to amaze me how different each hoop is.

Some of the ladies used old table linen this time.

I think they worked really well.

Everyone had a lovely time including me.

Next time we are working on a Christmas wreath.

Inspiration for this came from a talented friend Brenda. 

Here's one with a ball of string as a centre piece.

And one with an old watch.

Vintage Finds

We had a lovely time at the Vintage Fair at the historic Victoria Baths, Manchester 

We couldn't resist this lovely stand and dishes.  I will be serving a fresh mixed fruit salad with meringue in it later.  Such a wonderful piece and only £9.

This oil painting purchased for £10 now has a new home in our hallway next to our antique mirror.

This little embroidered piece was stitched in 1930 and the saying is still true today.

"To a friend's house the road is never long"
