What's on my workdesk today ....

Its been a busy time on our little enterprising lane.
I've been busy making Doodly Bird coasters.
While down the road the  Blincoe family have
been busy rounding up reindeers.
Mum Janette, as well as making a boozy Christmas cake
has been helping daughter Emma make mini gingerbread reindeers
We got to eat any that had spent a little to long in the Aga.
It was like a gingerbread factory.
I helped to design the packaging.
While all this was going on Dad Mark was taking a well earned rest and having a beer after making these fantastic rustic reindeers from the trees he had lopped in his sister Karen's garden.

Happy Christmas everyone over at Julia's blog.
Hope you all enjoy yourselves.

Time for some desk hopping

Bah Humbug remedy

As I'm a bit bah humbug with all the hassle of Christmas
I thought it might be nice to escape
from it all for a while.
Look at this gorgeous afternoon tea I enjoyed
with my crafting friends at The Cookie Jar in Bacup.

Homemade mint & pea soup, mini Yorkshire
Pudding with roast beef, pate with bruschetta, mini artisan pie,
turkey & stuffing sandwich, homemade mince pie with Baileys cream, cake, chocolates, fruit drink, tea & coffee all for £12.
It was delightful.
Then it was back home and the start of clearing the studio for some new projects in 2016

Willow Weaving Angel

I had a great afternoon out yesterday with my friend Tracy
who is home from Ghana.
We had ourselves booked on to a Willow Weaving Workshop at
Creative With Nature Gallery in Todmorden

I've added bits and pieces to it now

This kindling basket was made by our tutor Joe
And I love the work of artist Sara Abbott, who I met on a previous visit to the gallery
You can find the gallery on Facebook
I am absolutely in love with this postcard pack by
Workers Education Association
Textile Students and tutors have used natural dyes to create work with the theme GARDENS OF DELIGHT.  On the reverse they tell you how to dye with different plants and facts about them.
The cards are so colourful and inspiring.  I can feel some textile work coming on in the new year.
