Day 4 - Second pamphlet book

For this book I wanted to see what it would like if I used papers that were plain on one side and patterned on the other
I used wallpapers, handmade papers and printed paper
I'm pleased with the results and will work into now by adding pockets and stitch

Day 4 - Pamphlet booklets

Continuing in the pamphlet book I made yesterday I have decided to use it to display the Artists Trading Cards I have collected over a number of years.
These cards are the work of mixed media artist Christina Romeo
and these are illustrator and textile artist Yvonne Stewart of Coramantic
Starting work on another pamphlet book now and will be more aware of lining the spine up this time when binding the papers together

Day 3 - Papercraft Ecourse - Simple Bookbinding

Today is all about simple bookbinding

Need to pay more attention next time.
Can you see how I missed the centre seam on the outside cover

What's on my workdesk today....

My mitts are on here because my desk top is glass and its cold

I am on a break from my craft workshops now but I'm not slacking,
I'm doing a five week ecourse on papercrafting.
Each week we will be focusing on a different paper element.

Week One - Looking at paper as a material.
This followed a number of warm up exercises.

Using nothing more than scissors a scalpel and
things to poke holes we manipulated plain paper.
This isn't meant to be a dog but it does look like one.

For me it is feeding my passion for paper and stitch and who knows it may be the catalyst for future workshops

I am adding a link to my last posting so that you can see how
the ladies did on Saturday's workshop

Time to have a look at some more desks now
