There's a bit of Irish in me

Found this Nightingales cotton blouse in the RSPCA charity shop in Ramsbottom, Lancashire on Saturday for £3.50

It's got massive sleeves and looks great under this cotton pinafore (another charity shop find)

Teamed up with the waistcoat from a vintage two piece suit and this Joe Brown skirt, opaque tights and Mary Jane flat shoes I felt like I should be performing in Riverdance.

I'm off to Inverness on Sunday for a couple of days to see friends, my bag will have more books and craft stuff in than clothes and looking at the weather forecast I'll need my tights on again

  1. The blouse and pinafore have a long-ago Laura Ashley vibe to them... I would have been so thrilled to discover either in a charity shop. Yes, if you are coming to Scotland, wear tights, and a red flannel petticoat and if your craft is a half made blanket that covers your knees as you work so much the better :) It's freezing up here.

  2. The blouse and the pinny were made for each other! I hope you're having a wonderful time and that you've packed your thermals, it's sooooo cold. xxx

  3. What a lovely folksy blouse, and such a bargain too! It looks splendid under the floral pinafore. xxx
