Just my imagination

Do you know the song ?  It came on the radio as I started my new project "This Hour Of Mine".  The aim is to create a curated wall, a little exhibition of collected things.

After a lot of pondering I decided on a garden themed wall.
I shot off to the garden centre with a head full of ideas and came back with two lengths of trellis, a boot full of herbs and a bar of fancy soap for the wandering welder husband.

Next up everything came off the workroom wall, it was quite cathertic really as the pieces on it have been there years. The hammer and nails came out and up went the two trellis pieces.

Spent the rest of the day in heaven fiffing and faffing and these are the results so far.

The trellis is brilliant, you can pin things on it, hang things really easily.  You could even hanging your washing on it haha.

Now lets see if the wandering welder notices.

Over to Julia's blog now to see what all the lovely
crafters have been up to this week.

  3. I LOVE your wall Lynn! It looks so smart and ready to hang all those little bits that inspire you. What a great idea.My little space (sewing room) has no spare walls.2 walls have cupboards, and one wall has a door, and the other has 2 bookcases.However...there is the garage. There's a whole empty wall there. hehe!!

  5. What a brilliant idea. It looks fantastic. My problem is the temptation when I go to the garden centre. So many plants just jump into my basket instead of what I actually went for.

  14. The whole thing is brilliant!!! The trellis...especially awesome. I think this feeling is going around because I've been taking down decorations that have been up and out way too long, and starting fresh. I love it. Sandy Leigh #34

  16. You are a clever sausage, that looks absolutely wonderful and, if your day was anything as chronic as ours was today, its the nearest you'll get to meandering around the garden without being soaked to the skin!
I used to use a trellis for displaying my jewellery back in prehistoric times when I was a student! I need to get some more. xxx

  18. What a nice way to display certain items. I've got one of my own that's been in "stall and reconfigure" mode for about a year. You're inspiring me to try and pull one together that will work.
I confess to being covetous now of that chest of drawers! It looks well in your display, but then everything looks well together.
