TODAY IN TODMORDEN

It's Todmorden Open Studios this weekend as well as the
Food Festival and it was buzzing with people.

Our first port of call was Beyond Measure
We came out loaded up with ideas, bundles of fabric,
gorgeous buttons, cards and paper.
Grace has the most fabulous stock sourced from talented
craftspeople and the best small companies.
Lots of beautiful objects for lovers of textiles.

We then moved onto lunch in our favourite eatery
The Old Co-op

Everyone was having fun at the food festival and we stopped
off to listen to these old guys playing some great music

We even spotted some yarn bombing around the town

I might have to try a bit of that around one of our drain pipes at home.

I found this framed wool tapestry in the hospice shop for £3
so it had to come home with me.

Couldn't return home without popping back in the Old Co-op for another coffee and a cake.

Lovely day out with our friends Jacqui & John. It went to quickly and we didn't see half of what we wanted to see.

But I get to have more fun tomorrow at Stockport Vintage Village.

  2. Sounds like a lovely day out Lynn.
Thanks for your lovely comment but I have to say the gold medal must go to our daughter in law. She was rushed blue lights to hospital Sunday and was very poorly all week til little Theo arrived rather rapidly in the end. They are now home but she needed suturing under a spinal block so needs lots of healing time. Theo is just gorgeous so I'm sure he makes it all worth while.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  3. You are naughty with two visits to the Old Co-op in one day! I don't blame you, though, I could eat everything on that menu.
Shop Beyond Measure looks wonderful. I've had a look at the website and could spend a small fortune.
    Have fun at Stockport. xxx

  4. Our plans for the past two weekends have had to be put on hold so I've missed all the fun! Looks like I will have to pop over to Todborden as I've not been for ages! Looks like a great weekend. Xxx

  7. Ooh I love that photo of all the darning wool/embroidery threads. Such beautiful colours. That shop sounds great and Tod is obviously the right place to support it. Lunch and an afternoon snack? Very civilised I say! Xxxx
