WHAT'S ON MY WORKDESK TODAY .......

Phase one of the grand clear up and reorganising is finished as far as it's going for now.
I've moved onto what is officially our business office but is overun
with all my craft stash

I cleared all the debris off the top of the drawers and stacked these units on it, now I'm going through ALL of these drawers one by one.
Don't anybody give me any more lace or trims please.
I'm drowning in it.
I won't tell you how long it took me to go through the bead bin but I was losing the will to live by the end of it
How do we accumulate so much stuff.
I can see you all agreeing, we crafters are all the same, hee hee
Help I need to come up for air.
Think I'll have a look round some desks before I get back in there.

  3. I think crafting stuff is like a magnet, it draws other resources to it ;-). Your sort out will reap rewards when you don't have to search for anything in the future, you'll know exactly where it is!

  5. Good for you Lynn, it all looks lovely and organised, but in my opinion you can never have too much lace or trim! Good luck with the sorting - I took everything out of my kitchen cupboards last week, cleaned them thoroughly and couldn't fit it all back in! I then took everything out again, got ruthless and made a charity bag and then put everything back successfully! I was cursing by the end of it! It's put me off starting anything else for along time!

    Have a great week.

  8. Oh Lynn, I'm sur everyone who sees this is in the same boat - we are all busy sorting and arranging when the real problem is learning how to say no!! Yesterday someone actually gave me back the ribbon her christmas present was wrapped in because it was so pretty - its almost as if you can't even give it away!! Good Luck with it all! 12. Good luck with the sorting from someone who is also procrastinating about hers and distracting myself blog hopping!
You have a trim problem, I have a notebook/sketchbook problem. Woyww is our self help group. Not to improve the problem, just to feel there are likeminded people out there!

  13. Lol don't we all collect too much? I couldn't believe how much stuff I had when I was moving into my 'new' craft room. Have got to say I love the lace and the beads. Can you really have too many of those?

  14. Off to see what happened on Saturday in a minute but in the meantime have envy that you have too much lace. How can anyone have too much? Wish I had.
You asked about the Misti - Misti is a great stamping tool. It enables you to stamp in the same place time and time again so is great for solid images that you normally don't get good coverage on, or for batch cards where you want to make lots of the same and line them up. Look at "My Sweet Petunia" for details - can recommend. Tell her I sent you.
Hugs and thanks for the visit - Neet 3 xx

  15. Well done for sorting everything out! I always find lots of interesting things I didn't remember having, so clearing up always takes longer.....
    Have a good week,

  16. You know it's funny how the reorganizing always seems like a grand idea indeed--but somewhere in the middle of going through endless drawers and boxes of stash, you want to throw your wig on the greens and have a fit! It's exhausting! And of course, in the end, rewarding. And it makes you think twice while shopping at the craft store. Lace! It multiplies!! I don't know why, in the book "The Everyday Magic of Tidying Up" (I think that's the title) they talk about getting it all done at once. I am not superwoman. It takes me weeks. So hang in there. 18. No arguments here. I need to excavate my art space, too--no telling exactly what I'll find, but good grief, you obviously know what a royal job that is.

Congratulations on the grand overhaul, and best of luck! Will let you know if I decide to join you any time soon. . .

  19. Oh. It looks like you've come a long way since last week. It's looking splendid. Pace yourself, but keep on working through it all. I am sure that you'll love having a clean, tidy space to work in soon! x

  23. Great effort! I hate that feeling halfway through when you're just wishing for it to be finished. It always feels so good when it's done though!
