This is how the reorganising feels this week
I'm putting things that I think may have possibilities in a box/book
These are photo's I took in Croatia years ago.
The ends of strings of beads should have gone in the bin but I'm glad they didn't they put me in mind of the fishing nets on the photo's.
More possibilities this time in some fabric I designed and printed on a workshop.
The felt flowers and stitch pickers are for my next workshops.
I made the pink hanging from my own printed fabric and a cut up piece of old tray cloth when I got bored with sorting out.
The one below is from scraps I couldn't bring myself to throw out.
Time for a look around for more inspiration
at Julia's weekly desk sweep
Ooh I love your little textile hangings and you display them so beautifully too! I am struggling to imagine what you'll be doing with felt flowers and stitch-unpickers, but knowing you it will be ingenious and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do!
ReplyDeleteThe saying at the top made me laugh out loud! Isn't there some scientific theory that says that matter will expand to fit any void? I know that applies to me :-) I'm interested to see what you do with the unpickers/flowers too - you'll have to show us next week!

Fab what you can make with scraps of fabric. Love those felt flowers too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit - for some reason I cannot sleep and I have to be up early in the morning for a tradesman to arrive.

Some great bits and pieces there, Lynn, and some lovely projects made from them. I love the idea of your possibilities book. It's so easy to get an idea and then forget about it! Thanks for your visit. Yes, it's great to be getting back into the swing of things again.

You've had me chuckling this morning Lynn. It was the thought of making something with the scraps I couldn't bear to throw out.....I have sooooooooo many that it would be a rather larger project :-) I tried so hard yesterday to be ruthless with my fabrics but I'm usless at throwing stuff away.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what you can make out of scraps! I would not be able to throw anything away either. I have even a box of small paper scraps. They will do for punches or something.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting earlier and your sweet comment,
Have a good week,
Lisca
I love seeing all the stitching! You probably have enough gorgeous pieces for your own gallery showing Lynn! Wouldn't that be a dream. Happy Wednesday. Sandy Leigh #39
ReplyDeleteI don't have your sort of scrap..my paper just goes in the bin! yours are delicious! I love the collection of pieces that are emerging around the Croatia pics...I feel a keepsake coming on!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really like the flowers. They are very colourful - just the pick-up needed on a dull winter's day.
