Wrecked watercolour

Yesterday I upcycled these watercolour paintings
I bought some years ago at a local art week event.
This looked nice with the zigzag stitches around it,
but then I got carried away and ended up
totally destroying it and threw it in the bin.
Carrying on with my machine stitching everything in sight, I tore some pages out of an old book, layered them up and stitched this flower on.
Look what happened next
I retrieved the destroyed watercolour from the bin,
cut it up then stitched it onto the book pages.
I had a nice frame waiting to be used that my friend Anne had given me
and here's where I've ended up.
Now to go and see if I can wreck the other watercolour.

  1. I've heard of wreck that journal but never wreck that watercolour. LOL! It turned out beautifully.

  2. Hi Lynn, I'm so glad it wasn't a total disaster and you were able to create something beautiful after all :) I would love to try free motion sewing with my machine but I'm sure I'd make a complete mess of it! Elizabeth xx

  5. Fantastic creation, I love to try stitching on papercrafts but I so worried it will break my machine... That's such a creative picture. Creative Blessings, Tracy x

  6. It's really lovely and I love the idea of 'wrecking' other things to make new ones. Thanks for joining in with Handmade Monday, I hope you'll enjoy being in our little community.

  9. Great upcycling, I think it takes imagination and style to create this. It works a treat. Much better than a boring watercolour. Popping by from Handmade Monday
