What's on my workdesk today....

Getting into week 8 now of my 12 week online course.  Here are some more samples I've done for pockets for the apron I am going to make.

A friend came around yesterday she wanted me to help her design some wrapping paper for her friends present. At the same time she made this book cover for her.
Gillian then showed me a few zentangling patterns and I used them on this sample piece I was doing for my course.
Lucky me after today I have got two or three days to get on with my course work.
Now I have decided which colourway to go with for my apron I can get on with gathering materials and making my full size pinny.

Don't forget to have a look around some more desks to see what people are creating.

  2. Great zentangling and lovely pockets. Think the round one is my favourite but it depends on the background it does on I guess. Lovely work though, you must be proud of what you have achieved so far.

  3. Gorgeous pocket samples Lynn. Gill's wrapping paper & book cover are really pretty and the tangles she showed you are fab! I really like the shoe lace style one, but haven't tried it yet myself. Have a great WOYWW :0) Mo xx

  5. The wrapping paper is gorgeous Lynn, I would not want to use it though, just keep it! Cannot wait to see the end result of your apron, you have put so much work into it. The zentangling is lovely - so therapeutic too I think. Not joining in today (or taking Mo's class) as medical appointments have to take priority today - sadly. Really looking forward to seeing you all soon. Hugs, Anne x

  17. Lynn...I just love that you are taking this course, and taking us along with you! The work inspires me constantly. I saw a demo of the Zen tangles, and now this reminds me that I really wanted to try that! Well, here in the Ozarks, we have the heat going constantly, it is still snowing! Luckily, it is very beautiful, but not deep so that the roads are clear. Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #52

  27. Elaine - in response to your question on my blog, my new trimmer is a Fiskars Procision. So far I am enjoying it. It is self sharpening and I don't see how I could replace the blade even if I wanted to. ;-) April #151

  29. somehow I missed this post - it must have been when I was away - I love how the zentangles turned out. It was a fab day. As to the wrapping paper, because we didn't use any sticky tape and Sue unwrapped it carefully she has put it on one side to use herself at some time - and she loved the book and the fact I had crafted its cover.
