Doodly Birds fly in to help with Christian Aid week

The Doodly Bird army flew in to Castleton Moor Church yesterday to help raise money for Christian Aid Week
They held aloft this board game where visitors could guess the name of the Doodly Bird on the bag.
After a lot of cups of tea, plates of scones and a great deal of debate as to whether any of the names on the board were suitable.
The winner was Sue Parker who chose the name RITA

With the bring & buy money, entrance fees and Christian Aid donation envelopes
and the Doodly Birds of course, our little church managed to raise £250.
Well done everyone.

The little fellas are back in their nests now until Thursday when they will be putting in an appearance at the Coffee & Craft event at Sunnybank Day Centre, Market Street, Whitworth, Lancs.  1.30pm-3.30pm

    1. Thanks Kay, we are only small in numbers but we have a great kids club that has been running for over 30 years, a successful mums and toddlers group and a knitters and natterers group as well.
