WONDER OF WOOL & SINGING TREES

www.jointheflock.co.uk

We had our first visit to the Rheged Centre at Penrith.
Its a fantastic place just off Junction 40 of the M6.
Built into the hillside it has a grass covered roof, waterfalls you can see from its three restaurants,  an exhibition space, outdoor play area, 3D cinema, lovely shops filled with local produce and crafts. Free parking as well (that makes a change).
Photographs of the Wonder of Wool Exhibition
The Wonder of Wool Exhibition was stunning, as well as these exhibits there was a flock of knitted full size park benches and other extraordinary knitted assemblages
There was a craft event on the day we went with everything made in Cumbria.
GREAT DAY OUT AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING AGAIN.

We also had a great time at
GRIZEDALE FOREST
and I will admit that I turned every key on every  musical tree to listen to the different tunes.  Its a fascinating place and the best bit is its all free. Kids and grown ups have a great time and you can even get round with pushchairs. Sorry for lack of pictures I forgot my camera that day.
