WHAT'S ON MY WORKDESK TODAY.........Week 151

I bet you are thinking that can't be Lynn's desk its never that untidy.
Unusual for me I know, but I didnt put my stuff away once i had sorted what I wanted.
I was working on a PURPLE THEME for TAG TUESDAY CHALLENGE
My craft drawers are arranged mainly in colours, so I dragged out the
purple one and throw it all out on my desk.  I got that involved in making the tag that i didnt put anything away until I had finished it even though it was difficult for me to work amongst all the mess.
To see more desks full of creative stuff link over to
WOYWW
Could'nt resist putting this on again. The purple hats did it for me,hee hee!

  1. Love those Meerkats!
Interesting that you have drawers linked to colours - I wonder if that would work better for me as I am hopeless with what to put with what.
Thanks for sharing - and that lovely tag that you made.

  5. Buttons!! All in their lovely, shiny buttoniness. MMmmm, my problem is that I can never bring myself to use any! I love the ridged purple card too... in fact, I love the whole purple thing you've got going on your desk this week. It's a very under-rated colour :)
    Have fun,
    Hugs, LLJ # 33 xx

  6. What is it about buttons? We all love them - I bought my daughter M a jarful of gorgeous purple ones for her birthday. Your tag is fab and I must pop back for a good snoop round your blog - it looks really lovely so I will "follow" you - sounds a bit spooky doesn't it. Happy Weds. x Jo

  7. I love the colours, and of course the doodly bird! Thanks for the info on ATC's - I used to make them quite a few years ago and it all sort of petered out - I don't actually remember deciding to stop! I might just take it up again - I really liked the Linen Shelf blog you recommended (thanks for that) - I might meet up with you over there next month, if I get my act together!

  8. So much great bit and bobs on your desk in the lovely mess. I too love buttons and you have some gorgeous ones. You'd love the Aintree show as it is ALL crafts not just stamping and paper. Great exhibitions too so pop back at the weekend to read all about it!
    Thanks for visiting!

  15. The middle photo looks like a clour swatch or idea board for a magazine Lynn, it's very attractive. I don't understand how, with a drawer full of yummy like that, you can just pick out its and then put the rest away...how do you know in advance that what you've got is what you need? Skill!
That meerkat photo is possibly the most ridiculous picture I've looked at for a long time! How funny!

  28. Could've sworn I commented here this morning, but I guess that once I followed the link to Tag Tuesday, that was it. Hours lost looking, reading and wondering.
I love all your purple bitties and your purplified desk. I too, store by colour ;) I especially love your Tag, and it is due to that & your ATC's and your encouragement that I decided to take the plunge and 'have a go'. Here is what I ended up with
Now I didn't punch a hole for the ribbon, as in a traditional tag, because I kind of, (verrry loosely), endeavoured to combine the two, I sewed it on and I added my name & date onto the back. I have uploaded my Tag to my Flickr page here http://www.flickr.com/photos/65345361@N02/7113051511/in/photostream
I hope you will pop over to have a look :)
Have a lovely evening Lynn and thank you again :0)

    2. Hehe - I know exactly what you mean Lynn. I have successfully confused myself lately by using several different mediums of communication. I may revert to smoke rings, haha.
I'm a star, I'm a star, hehe. I was buzzing whilst I was doing it, thinking, ooh what now, what about this, what if.....Looking forward to the next one already :)

  29. Hey lady! There's a funky bird on your desk! Hee hee I just love your funky bird tag. All the purples are lovely. I like your craft room is stored by colors. I finally did that with my embellishments after I realized that is how I looked for them. I don't think, "This needs a button." I think, "This needs something purple." BTW, you have great things in your purple stash. So much fun!

  30. I love the way you combine quite chunky elements like the crocheted (knitted?) flower, with paper and card. I am never very happy with the result when I try, but your tag is great, and so is the colour scheme. I especially like the little heart shaped button in the centre of your flower. A nice touch. 32. Hello Lynn, a drawer for each colour, it's a good idea, though I'm not sure how tidy I could keep them but it's certainly an idea worth considering. Your completed tag is lovely, love your birds anyway and the flower is gorgeous. Hope you have a lovely creative week. Elizabeth x #113
