NEW BABIES & EASTER PRESENTS

Its an exciting time as we wait for the arrival of Baby Evie over the next few days. Good luck to Adele & Rick and to the new grandparents as well.
So while we wait I put together some little gifts for her.
Inside the Doodly Bird decorated box is a beautiful white knitted blanket and white cardigan made by Mrs Shaw who is now 93 and used to own the local wool shop many years ago and is a member of our craft club at Sunnybank Day Centre.  Who coincidentally sold wool to Julie the new grandma-to-be when she was knitting for Adele (Evie's mum).
There are also some handmade buttons from my friend BARBARA JEPSON, a card we got when we were up in Cumbria earlier in the week, and a handmade sock creature from SHAZ OF ODDSOX
All bagged and boxed up ready to go down to Rutland.
To add to theKATIE ALMOND jug which two of our lovely friends had specially commissioned for us we have got a smaller jug and this tiny cup and saucer from
 WATER STREET GALLERY in Todmorden.
Our excuse for buying them was that we didnt have any Easter eggs, so we had these as a treat instead. Yeh right, any excuse!

Hello to all my new followers and thank you so much popping in.

  3. Hi Lynn,

What special gifts for Evie. I do love your birds!!! You had asked if I drew the flowers on my ATC - nope, it's a stamp. I bought a doodle book from Amazon and need to do some drawing/doodling. I used to doodle all the time when I was in high school (oh, more than 30 years ago!).

I hope the rest of your weekend is nice.
    Hugs,
    Kay

  4. That's so nice to give a personalised gift - I bet she'll keep the box forever. Thank you for the mention and link as well Lynn, very kind.
I love your collection of Katie Almond porcelain, her work is beautiful - she had a stall at the craft fair I did recently in Loughborough so I got to see it first hand :)
